Brazilian YouTube “Flakes Power” Joins Fortnite's Icon Series
The Flakes Power Outfit is not your average superhero costume.
Fortnite fans, get ready for a new addition to the Icon Series. Brazilian YouTuber João “Flakes Power” Sampaio is coming to the Battle Royale Island starting on Saturday, February 25 at 7 PM ET.
However, if players can't wait, there's a chance to unlock the Flakes Power Outfit and Back Bling early on, from Thursday, February 23. Players will be able to compete in the Super Flakes Cup, a Duos Zero Build tournament, for the opportunity to be among the top point-earning players in their region. Those who earn enough points can unlock the Flakes Power Outfit, Electric Crescents Pickaxe, and Electro-Crest Back Bling before they're available in the Item Shop.
For players who unlock at least eight points in the tournament, there's the Flakes Tag Spray as a reward, while those who earn at least sixteen points will unlock the Hello! Hello! Emoticon!
Now, the Flakes Power Outfit is not your average superhero costume. In addition to the default style, the outfit also includes the drawn-to-life Phantom Power Style. Players can use Flakes Power's built-in Get Flakey Emote to switch between the two on the go! Also, the outfit's glow can be turned on in the Locker, lighting up the competition.
The Flakes Power Back Bling and Pickaxe will also be available in the Item Shop and will include the Phantom Power alt Style. The Electro-Crest Back Bling will let opponents know who they're up against, while the Electric Crescents Pickaxe is Flakes' ultra-modular pickaxe of choice.
In addition to the Flakes Power Icon Series Set, players can also have fun with their friends on different handpicked islands in the Epic Pick's Discover row, such as Flakes Deathrun 3.0.
Players that want to jump into some islands in honor of the hero himself, or those who want to read the full notes can head over to Fornite’s official page.
