Brawlhalla Update 8.03 Introduces A New Legend, Plus The Brawlhallidays Event And Balance Adjustments
The esports offseason is now underway too.
In Brawlhalla's latest update (Patch 8.03), a new legend appears: Seven.
This sentient robot is skilled in engineering and wields a Mega Wrench Spear as well as a Handcrafted Cannon. Seven's unique feature is Mode Swapping, which equips her Spear with a flamethrower for different attack capabilities. The fighter's update introduces three new skins for Seven: Firefighter Seven, Tinyfigure Seven, and Wanderer Seven.
The patch also brings in the Brawlhallidays celebration, featuring holiday-themed Legend skins, sidekicks, emojis, and other festive items. Brawlhallidays offers podiums, colors, KO effects, weapon skins, and avatars too.
Alongside these additions, Patch 8.03 includes balance adjustments, improved bot behaviors, new challenges for Scythe and Katars, and an experimental feature called "Hold to Dodge" — allowing players to dodge immediately after getting hit. Additionally, the patch adds support for Turkish and Latin-American Spanish languages, and it marks the beginning of Ranked Season 31 starting on January 10, 2024.
Also, the esports offseason is underway — allowing experimentation with competitive gameplay updates. The tournament map pool has been updated, featuring new maps like Small World's End and Bikini Bottom while removing Small Brawlhaven and Apocalypse. A new feature allows players to individually ban two maps in all queues. The patch also addresses bot behavior improvements, introducing various personality traits for bots and enhancing their difficulty levels.
Finally, the balance pass focuses on weapon adjustments, including changes to Axe, Blasters, Gauntlets, Orb, Rocket Lance, Sword, and Legend-specific adjustments for characters like Ezio, Fait, Mako, Vector, and Zariel. The patch also includes various bug fixes, gameplay improvements, and adjustments to emote animations and the user interface. And a holiday-themed game mode called 2v2 Snowbrawl is introduced, offering a festive twist with 150% damage and special scoring rules.
