Bounty Hounds Online: Closed Beta announced

InnoGames has announced the starting date for the Closed Beta of the upcoming free-to-play Sci-Fi game Bounty Hounds Online (BHO). From May 25 on, 1,000 users will get the chance to be the first players of the MMORPG and conquer the extraterrestrial world on the Clear Sky Planet. Amongst other places, the keys are given away in lotteries on the BHO homepage and its fan page on facebook.

Simultaneously, InnoGames has published a new class introduction video for the Shock Trooper on bountyhounds.com. As a master of the Greatsword and equipped with a machine gun, he rapidly combines ranged attacks and face-to-face combat. Regardless of his heavy armour, the Shock Trooper is feared for his light speed charges and combo attacks. Channeling electrical fields grants the player photonic power blasts and energy shields. With his offensive powers, the Shock Trooper is an essential part of every player squad. Next to the Shock Trooper, there will be four more classes in Bounty Hounds Online.

BHO is set in the 25th century, when man´s first encounter with Extraterrestrial Intelligence led to a huge galactic war. With the birth of the Federal Government, war has officially ended and military forces have been reduced. The peace that followed, however, is merely a façade and the government now relies on Private Military Companies (PMCs) for their protection. These mercenaries, also known as Bounty Hounds, are uncontrollable and their numbers are growing. As one of the mercenaries who survived the galactic war the player will be part of the Private Military, fight for mankind and become a true hero.

The mercenaries on Clear Sky Planet protect the fickle peace. In order to enter the battlefield, players choose one of five unique mercenary classes for their male or female character. Each class is playable by members of all four factions. Bounty Hounds has already been a great success on the PlayStation Portable.
