Blue Protocol Has To Delay Scheduled Network Testing Due To A Bug That's "Difficult To Work Around"
Certainly sad news for those that were pumped to play in just 3 days.
Blue Protocol was set to kick off some network testing to a limited audience in just 3 days on the 14th, but that's no longer the case as the team at BANDAI NAMCO have come across a bug that's "difficult to work around" and "affects the purpose of the test."
Having just suspended the ability to register friend codes if your buddy got into the test and was nice enough to toss you a code yesterday, the team will be re-enabling code entry starting today with no end date planned as of this moment.
The team announced the delay on Twitter, but we've got the full details from the email sent to those that were going to be testing the game. Thanks to our writer RoseHappa for the email... see sometimes it pays to have a writer in Japan!
"We apologize to all those who were looking forward to participating in the network test, but we ask for your understanding in order to provide you with a comfortable gaming environment when the official service begins," says the team in the email.
They continue, "We are still in the process of fixing the glitches, so it is difficult to provide information on the revised test schedule at this time. We will make another announcement on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 regarding the progress in fixing the glitches and preparing for the test implementation."
BANDAI NAMCO also apologizes for the short notice on the issues, mainly due to them investigating the issue and attempting some early resolution to stay on schedule, sadly that didn't pan out and we'll have to wait until the 25th now to get word on when the test will try to kick off.
