Blue Protocol May Be Coming West After All
Last year -- around the end of July -- was the last time we reported on Blue Protocol, specifically a Reddit post claiming that Bandai Namco had no intention of bringing the action RPG west. But, as we all know, when it comes to the intentions of game developers, they're extremely prone to change -- particularly if there's a chance of making more money off a product.
So now, it seems that the game may be making its way west after all. According to a report on PCGamer, a recent job listing on the Bandai Namco site indicates the company is looking for someone to help with localizing the game for English speaking audiences. This apparently includes making cultural changes as well as dealing with voice-overs, text, and the like.
The listing is entirely in Japanese, so we are relying on PCGamer on the translation. Still, that's great news for Western players who have been interested in playing the game. That said, even if it does come west, we still don't know what the monetization system on it will be. We'll just have to keep an eye out for that announcement.
