Blizzard Revives BlizzCon For 2026, Show Will Return To The Anaheim Convention Center
Given last year's cancellation and no mention of future plans, it's nice to see the show return.
The dates may be pretty far off, but it's nice to see that Blizzard will be bringing back their annual live showcase known as BlizzCon. Given the show was cancelled last year and there wasn't any real mention of the show's future since then, seeing the MMORPG company's live gathering return is certainly good news. The "bad" news, if you want to take it as bad, is that there will not be a gathering in 2025. The show will return to the Anaheim Convention Center on September 12-13, 2026.
Obviously being that far in the future, Blizzard isn't revealing specific plans for the show, but we would certainly expect the usual smattering of news from World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, Diablo, and other Blizzard titles. We do know that the show will include some of the usual festivities like the Opening Ceremony, in-depth panels, the Darkmoon Faire, friendly competition, hands-on gameplay, and more.
The company's announcement, which comes complete with a special site you can hit up and get updates from, reiterates how the company thinks the event is about more than just game announcements. "It’s about you, the communities you are a part of, and gives us the chance to connect, build friendships, and create unforgettable memories together."
Expect news and announcements from all of the company's social accounts over the next year.

The game combines battle royale and extraction mechanics, but the selling point is obviously big shoot-y robots.

This led to a pretty brutal (but funny!) reply on their Facebook page.

It doesn’t matter what platform you’re on, you’re in for a bunch of content.

It would have been easy to just let this game disappear, but apparently passion is a powerful thing sometimes.
