Blizzard Finally Fixed Mercy's Guardian Angel Ability In New Overwatch 2 Beta, Moira Reworked Too
She's no longer a sitting duck high-up above.
The new Overwatch 2 beta brought some changes to Mercy and Moira, but in the case of the widely-popular angelic support hero, her bugged-out Guardian Angel ability that wasn't popular with the player base finally received a fix. No longer will Mercy launch high-up into the air randomly once reaching her destination.
Blizzard confirmed the bugged ability was "completely unintentional" following fan feedback during the beta test, which quickly led to an update. The devs have also added a meter that charges up while Guardian Angel is active. Now, whenever a player cancels the ability with a jump, Mercy will launch in the direction she's facing and not sling up into the air like before. While a blunder on Blizzard's part, it's positive to see a quick response to cleaning up a strange bugged ability.
Moira was next on Blizzard's list of hero changes, introducing reworks to her Biotic Orb and Necrotic Orb abilities. Biotic Orb got nerfed a little, seeing its healing capabilities reduced from 300 to 250 and cooldown increased from eight to ten seconds. However, Necrotic Orb got a new temporary ability called "Enfeebling Orb," which fires a projectile that explodes in a 3-meter radius and inflicts 40 impact and ten explosion damage. Additionally, the explosion reduces affected enemies' damage dealt by 75% for four seconds.

Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
