Blankos Block Party Launches In Early Access On Epic Games Store As First-Ever Web3 Addition, Full Release Later This Month
Collectible digital vinyl toys come to life in a world with fun activities to do.
Co-developers Mythical Games and Third Kind Games have released their free-to-play party game Blankos Block Party on Epic Games Store in early access. It is the first-ever Web3 title to hit the digital store and has a full release planned for September 28 that includes Season One content.
Blankos Block Party brings collectible digital vinyl toys to life - otherwise known as Blankos - for players to enjoy using them across different gameplay scenarios such as racing, shooting, collecting, and brawling. However, the game focuses primarily on custom art design, world-building, collecting, and personalizing unique Blankos. Players can also expect a selection of developer and player-created maps to instill a sense of freedom and creativity. Though, this is a Web3 title.
Blankos is powered by the Mythical Platform: a marketplace giving players the option to exercise the freedom of digital ownership to sell or buy items in-game. According to the devs, players are "not required" to sell their digital items. Playing the game is supposedly separate from the shop, but whatever is earned or bought in Blankos will be owned by the player.
Following the early access launch will be the full release on September 28 with Season One content, but not much information was revealed about it. Chief Creative Officer Jamie Jackson at Mythical Games pointed out that her team is "excited to welcome the Epic Games Store community to [their] vibrant player-base, which has already created over one million accounts thus far." Regardless of what people may think of the title, it sure is climbing the ladder for a specific group of players, especially now that it appears on Epic Games Store.
