Black Desert Online Expansion Launches, Kicks Of Free To Play Event, And You Could Win A Laptop!
There's also a chance to get a game pass for free.
Today, Pearl Abyss added a chilly new area to Black Desert Online along with a shiny new class. The new area, aptly named Mountain of the Eternal Winter is pretty much what it sounds like, a mountain region covered in snow. It comes with its own questline and is apparently the place you're going to want to be spending your time if you'd like a chance at winning a new Alienware laptop.
As it turns out, Pearl Abyss has teamed up with Alienware to give away an Alienware x15 R1 laptop along with an Eternal Winter’s Giftbox to one lucky person. Twenty others will receive an Eternal Winter outfit.
In order to be eligible to win either of these items, players will need to complete the Mountain of the Eternal Winter main questline and the Season Pass. Both must be completed during the event. Completing them after doesn’t count. Once both these things are completed, the player will automatically be entered to win.
There’s even more good news though. The above is not the only chance players will have at that laptop. A second is available as well. But, it will require a bit more work. In order for a chance at the second laptop and other rewards, players will need to create a video celebrating the Mountain of Eternal Winter or the game's latest class Drakania – which you can see more about in the trailer below. The video can be any number of things: a content walkthrough, a fan trailer, whatever players can come up with so long as they tie into Eternal Winter. Full details on how to participate can be found on the event page.
On an additional note, if you’d like to play Black Desert for free, Pearl Abyss is offering players a chance to get a free game pass between now and April 13. Information on how to grab one based on whether you play on Steam or via the official game launcher can be found on the BDO site.
