Black Desert Online Morning Light Sequel Teased With Pretty Pictures In Latest Developer Commentary
The new expansion is slated for some time this summer.
Every time Black Desert Online shows a new video, I think about going back. It’s just so pretty, but then I remember I have several games I’m involved with already and realize I just don’t have the time for yet another one – no matter how visually appealing it is. That said, current players of the MMORPG are going to be excited to know a sequel to Morning Light is on its way.
At the end of the latest Developer Commentary, three images were shared, showing off three new areas that will be arriving in Morning Light: Seoul. These areas include one place fans of K-dramas will probably be familiar with; the Royal Investigation Bureau.
Another area highlighted is actually pretty close to that. It’s the giant East Watchtower with Mount Ahshi in the distance. They shared that one because they wanted players to have an idea of how big this place is in game.
Finally, the third place is a mysterious fog-filled area known as the Flower Sunken Swamp. It’s pretty, but probably dangerous.
In addition to teasing Morning Light: Seoul, the Black Desert Online Developer Commentary also shared changes that will be implemented sooner. Players can expect a change in combat. Specifically, the devs are reducing the number of hits in abilities in an effort to help reduce lag issues. This won’t change the amount of damage done by an ability and, based on the samples shown in the commentary video, it doesn’t seem to change too much visually. Hopefully, those suffering from lag will find it’s no longer as much of a problem.
As per usual, we’ve included the video to watch below. Note that it has two audio track options. If it’s not set to the one you want, it can be changed.
