Black Desert Online Drops Video Teasing Seoul Content And Some Players Seem Less Than Enthused
It seems players were hoping for more.
Black Desert Online announced a new content update today, teasing adventures in the city of Seoul with a new trailer. The announcement was straight to the point, “Land of the Morning Light – Seoul is coming soon” on Thursday, September 12. The trailer expanded on that, stating that the Namtaeryeong road is open, so the capital is now accessible. It mentions the market and the beauty of the gate. And then things take a turn as it teases the dark secrets to be found in the city.
Effectively, the trailer only provides loose story information and does not detail the update’s features. Based on the comments under the reveal, players were hoping for more. The bulk of the comments focuses on the MMORPG's expansion being “empty”, having “no content”, or being “DOA content”. One player notes that this follows a 20% player base decline.
That said, some players seem happy with what’s supposed to be coming, with one citing new bosses, a new region, a 5-player boss rush, and weapons.
