Black Desert Online Delivers On Endgame And Streamlining Promises Made At 2023's Calpheon Ball
Life and Vitality Crystals get simplifies and new high-end monsters appear.
It's update day for Black Desert Online and with this update, Pearl Abyss starts to deliver on some of the promises the MMORPG made at last year's Calpheon Ball.
In addition to a new class, the BDO team made a few promises to improve systems, simplify some complex items, and add new endgame content for players. Today is the first update that delivers on some of those promises.
First, things get a bit more dangerous for high-level players as new powerful monsters have been added in the game's new Yzrahid Highlands monster hunting zone. You're going to need to be at least AP 310 and DP 420 to stand a chance in the 4th addition to the cold territory.
The rewards will be worth it though as the drops available here are high-value, too.
On the "simplification" front, BDO's Life and Vitality crystals, which were previously divided into various categories, are being condensed into one type. This may seem like a small step, but it's just one of many the team plans to implement this year to make things a tad easier, particularly on newer players.
We all know the real endgame in the MMO is fashion, though. The devs have heard your feedback on a lack of costume variety. To get things started, the new "Academia" costume has arrived in all regions.
