Billions And Billions Slain: Path of Exile Lays Out Stats From Harvest League
How many horrifying monsters did Path of Exile players grow in the latest Harvest expansion? Literally billions, nearly one for every two people on Earth. Putting it that way almost sounds nice -- what couple wouldn't like a slavering hellspawn instead of the family dog?
Seeds came in four tiers, and today's blog post tells us that the lowest-tier seeds were dropped over three billion times, including 368,899,226 for the most common type. Around 118 million Tier 2 seeds were dropped from slaying Tier 1 monsters, 14 million Tier 3's from killing Tier 2's, and a paltry 1,077,508 Tier 4's from killing Tier 3's.
Meanwhile, there were the usual set of challenges for players to overcome in the new league, with prizes offered for completing 12, 24, and 36 of them. Four weeks into the league, 16.3% of players completed the first set of 12 challenges, 1.68% made it to 24, and just 0.38% managed to complete 36 or more. That's still higher than the 0.23% who completed 36 challenges for the last league, Delirum, which Grinding Gear Games attributes to Harvest offering a portal effect, something the previous league did not. It just goes to show what we've always known: Portals on Steam are very popular.
