Bigpoint Hiring for Game of Thrones MMO
Let's travel back in time a bit. The year is 2012. I'm working at MMOBomb, mostly on the video side of things, and Bigpoint has purchased the Game of Thrones IP for an MMO. We're really impressed by the score and didn't see Bigpoint as the company likely to grab the coveted IP. Later that year we got our first trailer for their free to play browser game and were suitably unimpressed.
Fast forward now back to today and we're three years later with neither hide nor hair of the Game of Thrones MMO. Bigpoint still hasn't forgotten about it though and is seeking a few new hires to help bring the browser/mobile game to life.
Game-Develop is reporting that Bigpoint needs a number of positions filled including a Technical Artist, a Lead 3D Artist, and even a Senior Live Producer. If you've got what it takes, apply now to try and make sure they don't screw this one up...although with browser and mobile being the method of delivery, my hopes are already dashed and were 3 years ago.
