Behold, The First God Developed Exclusively For SMITE 2
The Greek goddess of sorcery will be coming to SMITE 2.
Today we got a special reveal from Titan Forge Games for SMITE 2 with the first god created specifically for the sequel. Hecate will be coming to the MOBA, and the Greek goddess of sorcery brings her unique design and visual effects along with her.
As SMITE 2 will be built in Unreal Engine 5, it allows for more variety in abilities, as well as improved visuals and spell effects. These updates can be witnessed in Hecate's 'Traverse Worlds' ability which changes the visual design of the world, and the Spell Eater ability which does damage based on allied and enemy abilities cast near it.
It's exciting to see the improvements that will be in SMITE 2 thanks to Unreal Engine 5 and knowing that it will not only make the game look better but also improve the gameplay and god kits that the developers can put together.
The SMITE 2 developer deep dive, which can be watched in the video below, really goes into the background of what the devs can do in UE5 and what it means for new gods going forward in the game.
