Dead By Daylight 8th Anniversary

Dead by Daylight players have more to look forward to than just the Dungeons & Dragons crossover teased last week. As it turns out, the survival game’s 8th anniversary is upon us, and Behaviour decided to celebrate with a stream, during which they announced several things for players to look forward to soon.

Of course, they did discuss the upcoming crossover, revealing that it will include D&D staples such as loot, magical items, and rolling dice. Yes, players will be facing off against Vecna. Of course, there will be a new D&D-themed Survivor as well; the Bard Aestri Yazar. The crossover will also include a new map – Forgotten Ruins.

A new mode was revealed during the stream as well. Imagine two players hunting eight survivors on a bigger map. Yes, a 2V8 game mode is on the way. This mode includes several adjustments to gameplay, including replacing Perks for something more like a class system. Hooks are also swapped out for Cages.

Finally, yes, cross-progression is coming, but there won't be much on that until later. Also waiting until later for details is the game's planned Castlevania crossover.

Dead by Daylight players have likely heard that the IP is branching out a bit, with an unnamed PvE shooter codenamed Project T in the works. As it turns out, another game, titled What the Fog, was announced and released during the stream. This is a 2-person co-op roguelite. It’s available on Steam for $5.
