Battlerite Royale's First Halloween Event Starts Wednesday
Today, Stunlock Studios announced the first ever Halloween event for its free-to-play MOBA Royale, Battlerite Royale.
The event, titled Curse of the Night, launches October 17 (this coming Wednesday) and includes a new holiday-themed map area -- the Haunted Keep. It also contains objects called Trick or Treat Shrines that provide random buffs or debuffs to players. These include a variety of effects, including one that transforms players into black cats with increased movement speed. Since these are "Trick or Treat", players may wind up with less than desirable effects, such as being frozen with fear.
Of course, the update adds more than just the Halloween event to the game. It also includes a private lobby where players can set up matches with friends and a new melee champion, Ruh Kaan, The Crypt Warden.
