Battlefield 2042 has unveiled Season 7: Turning Point, featuring intense conflict and elevated environmental destruction in the Atacama Desert of Chile.
Players will engage in a desperate power struggle, where factions clash for control in suburban combat. Season 7 introduces two new maps, a vehicle, weapons, gadgets, and gameplay enhancements to the shooter. Everything is available to players through the Season 7 Battle Pass, with additional cosmetic items available via the Premium version.
In the new Haven map, Russian forces ally with the Thousand Petals Coalition to secure a vital water reservoir. There’s a mix of infantry and vehicle combat, reminiscent of maps from previous iterations of the game series. Season 7 also introduces the AK 5C assault rifle, the SCZ-3 submachine gun, and the DFR Strife light machine gun. Also, the Predator SRAW gadget and the XFAD-4 Draugr remote-controlled aerial bomber both return.
Battlefield 2042 is offering a free access period from March 21 to 24 too, allowing players to experience Season 7 content. Progress made during the free period carries over to the full game, which will be available at a discounted rate after it ends. The new season drops on March 19.
