Battlefield 2042 Has More News To Share Regarding Season 4: Eleventh Hour In Its Latest Development Update
Come meet the new and final member of the Specialist roster.
Battlefield 2042’s first development update of the year is here and there's a lot to come starting with the upcoming Season, Season 4: Eleventh Hour. Players can expect a new map, a new Specialist, new weapons, a new vehicle, a new Battle Pass, and more.
Camila Blasco is the latest addition to the Specialist team once Season 4 launches on February 28. Her abilities to move without alerting motion-based technology will make her the perfect person to deploy for Recon gameplay. With Blasco’s newest addition to the Specialist roster, there are now 14 Specialists available across 4 Classes. Sadly, this means Blasco is the last Specialist, and the team will not be adding further new characters to Battlefield 2042.
As a reminder, with update 3.2 came a change to the Class System as Gadgets are now linked to Classes. This means come Season 4 the new SPH Explosive will be an Assault Class gadget, and therefore available for Dozer, Mackay, Sundance, and Zain.
There are only 2 maps left to be reworked as a part of Battlefield 2042’s efforts to evolve and transform versions of old maps. Discarded will be added in Season 4 and Hourglass in Season 5.
While Season 4 hasn't even launched yet, Season 5 is already in full development and the team is excited about the pending introduction of the new map. This new map will have players transported to a forgotten battleground, “where armies clashed decades ago while trying to secure a vital train track being used for the transportation of armaments.”
Players who would like to learn more about this map, see the base concept art or read the full notes on Battlefield 2042’s development update can check out the official post or watch the video below that deep dives into Season 4’s features.
As a reminder Battlefield 2042’s Season 4: Eleventh Hour will be free for all players starting on February 28. Also, Battlefield 2042 will be available for all PlayStation Plus members to redeem at no extra cost starting next month. This deal is only available on PlayStation devices until April 7, so don’t miss out.
