Bastion Finally Returns To Overwatch 2 On October 25
*Happy robot noises*
Overwatch 2 fans welcome Bastion back with open arms. Bastion was taken off the roster along with Torbjorn after the two characters had some bugs that needed to be refined. Before Bastion’s rework, Bastion-mains had complete control of the battlefield for a brief period of time in Overwatch 2, as the character's ultimate rocket launcher attack was nearly infinitely spammable with a precise button input during its wind-up.
Blizzard has announced that both Bastion and Torbjorn will return to the roster next week on October 25. I still find this funny considering Overwatch mentioned that they were “happy to see that no hero’s overall power level is far out of line with our goals” and that Overwatch 2 will not be rebalanced until Season Two. I guess a bug doesn't necessarily mean an overpowered character, but waiting until December still seems far off.
