Failing To Make Its First Anniversary, Babylon’s Fall Announces Closure
The game’s service will be terminated early next year.
Less than a year after launching, the action RPG from PlatinumGames and Square Enix will be ceasing operation. Today, the developer announced plans to shutter the game on February 27, 2023, cutting the game’s run just shy of its first anniversary.
To prepare for the impending closure, the developer is canceling all the updates they’d planned for the near future. For those participating in the game’s seasonal content, the announcement states Season 2 will last until Tuesday, November 29. After that the final season will begin, during which time players can obtain the ranking rewards for Season 2.
Between now and the end of things, the developers will be running as many events as they can. They’ll also be halting some services. The sale of premium currencies has already ceased. The full rundown of things players can expect between now and the game’s closure is available on the Babylon’s Fall site.
