The Aurora World Closes Down
Apparently, 67,000 people can be wrong.
Free-to-play MMORPG The Aurora World by GBE Games shut down last week, on Nov. 24, and the game's site is no longer active. The announcement went up three weeks ago on its Facebook page, which still has a not-bad 67,859 Likes as of this writing, and reads in part:
"The game showed a lot of promise during its inception, and we have had a lot of fun pushing the game to its peak. But overtime it has been unable to maintain a large enough audience to create a reasonable and enjoyable environment for all players."
Spunkify did a First Look of The Aurora World, which you can see above. I'll admit to not knowing much about it, but it seemed to have nice visuals, to go along with three-faction PvP and a rather intricate skill system. Maybe it wasn't stunningly innovative, but I've seen worse games survive and thrive.
Did you check it out, and if so, what did you think?
