Asymmetrical PvP Shooter Pandemic Express -- Zombie Escape Goes Free-To-Play
If you need another free-to-play zombie shooter in your life, then check out Tallboys' and tinyBuild's Pandemic Express -- Zombie Escape. It went free-to-play today, and, joking aside, does offer a slightly different take on the standard gory shoot-'em-up formula -- namely that one of the players is infected with the zombie virus and tries to infect the others as they scavenge for supplies and a way out.
Along the way, you can band together with other survivors to find guns -- which can be used not only to shoot but to "parkour" off surfaces, leaping all the way to the rooftops -- and get to the train to escape. If you die, you'll come back as one of three zombie classes, with the intent of hunting down the other human players.
As you play Pandemic Express, you'll earn Stars, which you can also purchase with real money. Stars can be used to unlock costumes, emojis, and in-game music. People who have already paid for Pandemic Express will receive 2,000 Stars and a jukebox containing all in-game music.
Hit up the Pandemic Express Steam page if you feel like giving it a shot, and learn more about the F2P transition here.
