Astrolabe Interactive And Funcom Announce Early Access Date For Co-Op Sandbox Survival Game, Aloft
Soon, players can live their skyship building dreams.
Finally, it looks like a game promising airships is going to come through with that promise. Today, developer Astrolabe Interactive and publisher Funcom announced the early access launch date for the co-op sandbox survival game Aloft. The game, which has players braving the skies on floating islands that they can transform into skyships, is slated to launch in early Access on January 15, 2025.
Despite being a survival game, Aloft is designed to be cozy. It’s definitely something different from what we’re used to seeing Funcom publish. The game can be played solo or with up to eight friends and is designed to reward positive actions instead of punishing players when they mess up. As each island has its own ecosystem, players will need to be aware of how what they are doing will impact their new homes. This includes finding ways to cure the islands of corruption – which mostly seems to be beating up mushroom creatures. Although, crafting antidotes for infected animals is necessary as well.
Aloft will be available to play via Steam. Wishlisting is available now for those who wish to do so.
