As We Near The End Of The Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Countdown, Square Enix Offers Another Chance To Get Your Hands On The Chocorpokkur Mount
The Twitch campaign offers other items that will come in handy as well.
If you missed your chance to obtain the Final Fantasy XIV Chocorpokkur mount during the previous regional promotions, another chance to grab it is coming around. Unlike the previous two, which were limited to North America and Japan, this promotion is available to anyone who watches Twitch. It doesn’t matter what region you’re in. You can even obtain the codes if you're on the free trial or even if you're not playing the MMORPG at all. However, you won't be able to use them without having a paid subscription.
You all know how this works. You watch a set number of hours of a select set of Final Fantasy XIV streamers and Twitch will reward you with a code. In this case, you’ll need to accumulate 6 hours of viewing time to obtain a code for the Chocorpokkur Whistle. You’ll also be rewarded after watching an hour with EXP Boost meals and at the 3-hour mark with a code for 10 Aetheryte tickets. The event lasts until July 29, so there’s plenty of time to get in those six hours.
Keep in mind that when viewing XIV content on Twitch, you’ll need to watch the channels that have a “Viewer Rewards” tag. You can’t watch just any old channel. Also, be sure you’re logged into Twitch while watching. Once you’ve received your codes, you’ll need to go to the “Registration Codes” option on the Mog Station to redeem them. If you have any questions about the giveaway, a full FAQ is available on the Lodestone.
On an additional note for everyone waiting for Early Access to kick off. Keep in mind that the game will be entering a 48-hour downtime period beginning at 2:00 am Pacific time on June 26. It’s expected to last until 2:00 am Pacific on June 28. As soon as the patch is available, the devs will post a Special Update on the Lodestone. Just be prepared for a sizeable download.
