ArenaNet Highlights The New Area Players Will Be Exploring In Guild Wars 2’s Janthir Wilds
There’s even a look at a new mount.
It’s been a week since ArenaNet offered players a sneak peek at the story for Guild Wars 2’s upcoming expansion Janthir Wilds. Mike shared a (mostly) spoiler-free summary of that when it happened. This week, the devs are following up with a look at the new Janthir region players will be exploring when the expansion launches, as well as a new enhanced mount.
Of course, as with the previous teaser, this one contains what some people may consider spoilers. It all depends on your personal preference. If you’d rather not know, then you might want to look away.
ArenaNet’s post offers a look at two areas that will be found in the Janthir expansion: the Lowland Shore and Janthir Syntri. The former is the first place players will go to. It offers a chance to explore without getting involved in large-scale events. It’s intended to be a change of pace from what players of the MMORPG are used to.
The second is a more dangerous area made of deep forests, sulfurous swamps, and volcanic terrain. I don’t think anyone is making a home here, especially with the magical storms in the area.
Also highlighted in this post is the new Warclaw Mount. Players will be able to forge a bond with the mount and create a new Mastery line with PvE skills. A rundown of how the Warclaw’s skills work can be found in the post on the Guild Wars 2 site.
