ArcheAge Bans Over 22K Accounts For Exploits And Kicks Off A Festival
Exile conditions nerfed, as well.
The Kakao Games team has been busy hunting exploiters in ArcheAge as of late and it seems it is really paying off – for them. For the exploiters…not so much. Today, the devs posted a brief update on an ongoing investigation, which has had several players’ accounts locked for about a week, noting that as of the posting they’d permanently banned over 22,000 accounts. Of those accounts, 21,648 were alt accounts and 629 were main accounts.
For those whose accounts have been locked, the team notes the lock will remain in place until they’re done dealing with the exploit. They also warn against anyone whose accounts are not locked interacting with any items that may have been obtained via an exploit, as it could land them in account purgatory as well.
In better news, a new update dropped today, kicking off the Zodiac Festival. During the duration of this festival, the Solzreed peninsula has been declared a peace zone, so enjoy that.
The update also prepares for the easement of conditions for Exile on January 2. The minimum points are being changed from 10,000 to 9,000, language proficiency will no longer be required, and the capacity will be increased to a minimum of 30 people.
