Apex Legends Finally Drops Details On Crossover Event With Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Worlds are set to collide on January 9th when Final Fantasy VII Rebirth comes to Apex Legends. Gather your crew and drop into the shooter's special event that runs through January 30th.

During this special event, you can get your hands on the Buster Sword R2R5 while taking part in the Final Fantasy VII Takeover game mode which will replace the unranked Apex Legends battle royale. The Buster Sword R2R5 will come with special abilities and can be picked up in the Takeover mode and used to slay your enemies.

Keep an eye out for Materia Hop-ups for increased effects and bonuses. Each Materia Hop-up will only attach to certain weapons.

There will be 36 Final Fantasy VII Rebirth-inspired cosmetics in Apex Legends during the Takeover event including skins, sticker sets, and more. You can also earn Gil during the event which can be spent in the Gil Store for even more rewards.

Select Apex Legends Twitch streams will also give you the ability to earn stickers between January 12th and 30th. You'll need to connect your EA and Twitch accounts to earn these special stickers.
