Vantage's Story Is A Sad One And The Latest Apex Legends Trailer Shows Exactly What The New Legend Is After

Apex Legends’ next big update drops in five days on August 9. When it does, it will introduce a new Legend, a rework of Kings Canyon, a level cap increase, and an updated battle pass. Today, Respawn released a new trailer for the new Legend: Vantage. Born on the ice planet Pagos, Xiomara “Mara” Conteras, was raised alone by her survivalist mother, who taught her how to use a sniper rifle.

At the age of 18, she found the wreck of the G.D.S. Vantage and snuck in. Doing so, she discovered that her mother was a prisoner on that ship before the ship collapsed into a crevasse, injuring her. By the time her mother found her, she was too far gone to treat without help. Her mom set off the prison’s SOS beacon and became imprisoned once again. Once her daughter was better she asked her to go home and forget about her. Instead, she joined the Apex Games in order to draw attention to her mother’s case.
