Apex Legends Disables Night Mode Kings Canyon Map
Last week, Apex Legends got map rotation, giving players the chance to play on three different maps. Well, really there were two different maps: World's Edge and Kings Canyon, in both day and night modes. Now, that number is down to two, officially.
In a Tweet on Wednesday, Respawn Entertainment confirmed that the night version of Kings Canyon is being removed from the rotation. The change came "After taking in all your feedback over the past 7 days," which makes a certain amount of sense: Battle royales just aren't as much fun when you're having to stumble around in the dark and can't see who you're shooting -- or who's shooting at you.
Still, a nighttime map might still be a cool option for things like Halloween events -- possibly spruced up with other spooky special effects to provide additional brightness. Just be careful not to trip over the corpses you leave behind.
