Apex Legends: Arsenal Addresses The Contention Around Fragment With A New POI: Monument
Monument is a “testament to the Apex Games” and celebrates its history.
Today, Respawn Games dropped information on the next update coming to Apex Legends. Titled Arsenal, the update adds a couple of new points of interest, improves landing at Harvester, adds a new vault near Skyhook, and introduces more changes in the battle royale. One of the new POIs is Monument. This is a change to the Fragment, intended to address some of the contentions while creating something fresh. In game lore, the Monument honors the Apex Games’ history. It’s a project of Silva Pharmaceuticals.
The second POI, Stacks, moves the tower of the sweat lords. This adjusted POI is focused on verticality and features connected rooftops. It replaces Lava City and is located next to Big Maude.
As for Harvester, players will find that making their way through the building’s central tube will bring them to a safe landing platform… provided you consider “surrounded by lava” safe. In addition, a new vault has been added near Skyhook.
Another important change coming in this update is the introduction of the game’s first long-term progression system outside of players’ account levels. This is intended to make the game more accessible for new players A full rundown on that, as well as other changes, can be found in the latest announcement.
On an additional note, today is the day that Apex Legends' mobile version officially shutters. The closure was announced earlier this year. Details on this closure can be found on EA’s site.
