And barely anyone is actually playing it.

Concord Sales

Things are apparently not going well for Firewalk Studios’ Concord. It’s been a little over a week since the Sony-published shooter launched on Steam to mixed reviews and a low player count. The game had an all-time player peak of 697 players (The current numbers are much lower at 69.)

Of course, it seemed like this would be the case back during the game’s beta back in July, when the player numbers were actually a bit higher, and the beta was free. At the time we speculated on its appeal as another Overwatch-type game, as well as the fact that some people may be turned off by Sony requiring PC players to associate a game they bought on Steam with their PSN account – particularly as Steam players in some locations can’t have a PSN account. Well, that and Sony sticking to a required $40 box fee.

Whatever the reason, things have gotten worse on Steam, as seen by the numbers above. Even more, the game’s sales numbers aren’t all that high on the platform. Sales numbers on Steam are estimated to be anywhere between 12K according to Gamealytic and 22k according to VGInsights.

One analyst offered an estimate of around 10,000 Steam sales to IGN on the 28th, so it’s reasonable that the numbers have increased some since then. The same analyst offered IGN an estimate of around 15,000 PlayStation sales for a total of 25,000 sales at the time. That’s not great. Even if both platforms have increased by 10k sales each, we’re only looking at 45,000 sales so far.

More importantly, it seems no one is playing the game, no matter the sales numbers. As we noted above, the player numbers on Steam were in the double digits. As for PlayStation, we don’t have the precise numbers, but we do know that on the 26th, Concord was 147th on the daily active players list with less than 0.2% of the platform’s active players.
