Pre-Loading, Special Rewards, And All The Other Details You'll Need For New World: Aeternum's Open Beta
Progression will be capped at level 30.
The New World: Aeternum Open Beta is a week away, scheduled to run from September 13 to 16. Before that, players will be able to pre-load the client starting at 9 am Pacific on September 11. The beta will be cross-platform, so players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S will be able to take part, provided they’re in the available regions.
To encourage players to take part, Amazon is offering rewards for leveling during the test. Progression is capped at level 30, and players will receive rewards at levels 10, 15, 20, and 25 – as well as a title for just taking part in the test.
During the test, several activities will be available, including 3v3 arenas that will unlock at level 20, the same level at which players will unlock mounts. Factions, influence races, and Amrine excavation will also be available for players to test.
For those wondering, a PlayStation or Xbox subscription will not be required to play in the "totally not an MMO's" Open Beta – well, for most players, anyway. Those on PlayStation 5 in Germany will have to pay the sub. Once the game launches officially in October, each console's sub will be required in general.
