Amazon Games Prepares Players For New World: Aeternum With 34 Episode Video Series, No, That's Not A Typo
“Discovering Aeternum” teaches new players what they need to know, eventually.
With New World: Aeternum slated to drop on October 15, Amazon Games has decided to prepare new players with a tutorial video series titled “Discovering Aeternum”. This series consists of 34 2-ish minute episodes separated into three phases: Arrive, Survive, and Thrive. The Arrive phase has already begun with Episode 1 and new episodes will come out twice weekly. The same will happen with the Survive and Thrive phases, meaning that videos will be rolling out into December. (Yes, we know, Aeternum will already be out by then.)
The Arrive phase is designed to help players get comfortable with the MMORPG that totally isn't an MMORPG, and includes two previously released episodes. Details on the other phases will be shared at a later time.
On an additional note, a new Amazon series headed by Blur Studio co-founder and Deadpool's Tim Miller was announced at Gamescom last night. Secret Level is a 15-episode anthology series featuring stories from different games. Not surprisingly, New World: Aeternum is among the games that will appear in the series. Other games include The Outer Worlds, Warhammer 40,000, and Pac-Man.
