Amazon Begins The Process Of Catching Lost Ark Up To The Korean Version This Month
The first round of content includes a story episode and the first abyss raid.
Lost Ark launched not too long ago and yet, so many players are already banging their way through the end game content now. Of course, some of that might have something to do with the fact that the western version of the game is just part of what already exists in Korea. The good news is, that's about to start changing – not all at once, of course. It will have to roll out over time.
To get the process rolling, Amazon has announced two new-to-us bits of content that will arrive in March. The first is a new story episode titled Kadan. This episode includes Isteri and Illusion Bamboo Islands. These are new islands for players to explore. It will feature both new and existing characters and offer players a chance to learn about Sidereals while searching for the first Guardian slayer, Kadan. To experience this quest, players will need to have Feiton completed, as well as three quests: Yorn – Let There Be Light, Whispering Islet – Start of Our Story, and Illusion Bamboo Island, - End of the Trials.
For the raiders among you, a new flavor of raid is on the way: Abyss Raids. These are like Guardian Raids in that players need to defeat the Guardian before the timer runs out. They differ in that the Guardian is bigger and more difficult. They consist of three phases in each of which the Guardian will become more powerful and use different mechanics than the previous phase(s) Each phase offers its own rewards and has unique requirements for participation.
If you're wondering if that’s it for March, the answer is "no". Unfortunately, the devs aren’t offering details on what else players can expect just yet.
