Amazon Announces New World’s 4th Season, Eternal Frost, Check Out The Dev Video
The update introduces new story, a level 65 expedition, and more.
New World’s 4th season, Eternal Frost, it’s on its way. The MMORPG's update is scheduled to drop on December 12, bringing with it more story content as well as a new expedition for players level 65 or higher. There are also new artifacts to be had for players who own the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, among other things.
The game’s new storyline begins with a Knight of the Round Table uncovering knowledge of the Ancients that can be used to trap humanity in a never-ending winter. Players must convince a fire mage to help stop the Knight before he achieves his goal. This story ties into the Level 65 Expedition to the Great Cleave.
During the expedition, players will explore a frozen complex as they pursue the knight Sir Loth. The goal is to obtain the magic of the Empyrean Flame and use it to handle problems created with Ice Magic and destroy the Knight.
Of course, a new season means a new season pass, which introduces a new season journey, activity card, challenges, and more. Players can also look forward to a season filled with exciting limited-time events including the Winter Convergence Festival, a fight against the open-world boss the Winter Warrior, and more. Details are available on the New World blog.
