Amaterasu and Nu Wa Are Headed To SMITE 2 And You Can See Them In A Preview Tomorrow
P.S. Don't worry, the OG SMITE isn't going anywhere any time soon.
While SMITE 2 players may have already guessed who the next gods coming to the MOBA's sequel will be thanks to a few breadcrumbs dropped by the Titan Forge team, there's now 2 gods confirmed as "next up" thanks to an interview with GameRant.
Both Nu Wa and Amaterasu will be headed into the alpha in the next update and there are 2 more gods planned to make their debut in the sequel's following update 3 weeks later. The plan is to keep up that release cadence seeing 2 gods (could be new ones, could be OG transfers, or both) every three weeks. That means you may have to wait a bit for some of your favorite SMITE gods to make the leap into SMITE 2. There's quite a few to bring over.
Don't expect Amaterasu and Nu Wa to be just direct ports, though, as both played as class types in the original that didn't make the transfer over to SMITE 2. You'll get to see both in action on SMITE 2's stream tomorrow at 3 PM EST.
Speaking of the original game, don't worry. Alex Cantatore confirmed in the interview, once again, that the original SMITE isn't going anywhere any time soon.
