Alliance-Themed Hearthstone Expansion To Be Revealed On Thursday
Hearthstone's last expansion had a strong Horde theme, and it was teased that the next one would therefore feature the Alliance. That looks to be the case, as Blizzard has revealed a new teaser trailer for its next set while planning on a formal reveal on Thursday.
The reveal stream begins at 9:30 a.m. on July 1, on the Hearthstone Twitch and YouTube channels. Lead Designer Alec Dawson will recap the Year of the Gryphon and reveal what's coming in Phase 2. We'll also hear the latest on Battlegrounds.
What we won't hear about is any further information regarding Hearthstone Mercenaries, which is still on track to be released in the coming months and will receive a dedicated stream in the fall, though there won't be any details revealed on Thursday. As you'll recall, Mercenaries is a new mode in the works that offers "strategic RPG gameplay" with teams of iconic heroes and villains journeying through random encounters.
Learn more about the expansion reveal on the Hearthstone site.
