All About The Delays Today As SWTOR Force Pushes Legacy Of The Sith Into February 2022
This one is as simple as "It just isn't ready."
We've got our second delay of the day, sadly. First, PlanetSide 2 delayed its much anticipated water content, and now we have BioWare announcing a delay to the Legacy of the Sith expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic.
The expansion for the MMORPG was originally slated to release in just 7 days on December 14th. In an announcement today, however, things have changed. Project Director Keith Kanneg said the game simply needed more testing to accommodate all of the changes the team has been implementing based on player feedback obtained through the PTR.
Fans now have to wait until February 15th to get their hands on the actual release version of Legacy of the Sith, but if you REALLY need to play some of that content, the team does expect the expansion to be back up on the PTR later this week...sans story content, of course. We wouldn't want anything spoiled.
Probably not the exact way the team wanted to kick off the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the title, but if leads to a better expansion that can say it has the high ground, maybe it'll be worth it.
