Aliens Have Landed In Fallout 76
Work together to stop the aliens from "researching" Appalachia.
The first bit of new Fallout 76 content teased when Bethesda dropped the game's latest roadmap last week has arrived. Today, a new update brings visitors from outer space – and it seems they're not the friendly kind. Instead, Appalachia is under threat as a mothership torments them from above. The good news is that it’s very organized in its tormenting and will appear above a high-profile location every hour on the hour. The bad news is that when it does, it will drop three Brainwave Siphons off in the area to collect the brainwaves of nearby lifeforms – for some unknown but undoubtedly nefarious reason.
Any time these Siphons are deployed players will need to work together to destroy all three of them before the aliens complete the extractions. Of course, it's not as easy as just walking up to them and blowing them up. There are force fields to deal with and those are manned by Alien Commanders. They’ll need to be taken out – but only after you eliminate their troops first. Once the Commander is out of the way, the shield will drop and players can get to work destroying the Siphon.
Of course, players will be rewarded handsomely for their efforts. Expect to receive XP and loot as well as a chance to earn plans for alien weaponry and C.A.M.P projects.
