Aliens: Fireteam Elite Season 4 Has Arrived Along With Crossplay And New Game Mode
Work with friends to keep the Xenomorphs at bay.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s newest Season, Season 4: Prestige, is not only live now, but bringing with it crossplay, a new progression system, and a new game mode.
One of the most exciting additions is the ability to play with friends regardless of their device. Crossplay has finally arrived to all AFE game modes. Players on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation will finally be able to fight against the hordes of Xenomorphs together.
Players can also partake in a new progression system that will unlock after level 20. After level 20, a player's experience points will start counting toward Prestige rank, starting at 1 and going all the way up to 100. This new system will unlock new nameplates that show off a player's rank to let other know just how good they actually are in battle. Finally, this new system will unlock rewards every 10 Prestige levels that include everything from outfits, head accessories, gun colors, decals, emotes, nameplates, and more.
In AFE’s latest game mode, players will need to keep those turrets loaded if they want to survive. In this mode, players will have to fend off Xenomorphs coming from every direction while keeping their turrets stocked to defend their positions. Players will have to do their best and keep organized as they fend off wave after wave of enemies.
While Season 4: Prestige does bring a close to AFE’s Year 1 Roadmap, the Pathogen expansion DLC continues the AFE story on August 30. Players that would like to read about what new weapons will be coming along with Season 4 can check out the official post here.
