Albion Online’s Rites Of Spring Event Has Begun, And Yes, There's More Bunnies
Every bunny is sure to enjoy this egg-citing event.
Spring has officially sprung in Sandbox Interactive's MMORPG Albion Online. From now until April 26, players can participate in Albion Online’s “Rites of Spring” annual event. However, this event is not like those of the past. Instead, even more egg-cellent fun awaits. This event adds a brand-new mount, themed treasure chests, and the Eggsecutioner vanity weapon.
Decorations are adorning the city and all types of chests usually found in the open world will spawn at an increased rate during the Rites of Spring event, as well as a new Spring Treasure Chest which has the chance of containing special, themed items. In addition, giant Colored Eggs are once again springing from the ground. These eggs can be broken to reveal Surprise Eggs and chocolate. On rare occasions, these Colored Eggs may also contain a special type of egg.
Here comes Peter Cottontail–oh, I’m sorry–Spring Cottontail. This brand-new creature is a rare, speedy, Tier 8 mount with a special Hop ability. Despite this new mount's rarity, it can be found, raised, and ridden by anyone regardless of skill level–so yes, even new characters. All stages of Spring Cottontail’s growth are fully tradable, meaning it can be bought and sold on the Marketplace by all players.
Finally, The Eggsecutioner returns. Albion’s Vanity Merchants will be selling their wares in return for gold and Surprise Eggs. Players can find the Eggsecutioner vanity weapon, stylish “Bunny Stalker” armor, hats, and even a backpack. Players will also be able to buy past spring items that they may have previously missed out on.
With all the fun going on in the Rites of Spring event, Albion is sure to be hopping with life as players hunt down treasures, break open eggs, and take their new Spring Cottontail out for a ride. For more information, check out Albion’s official announcement.
