Albion Online’s 'Horizons' Update Will Add A Bit Of “Unpredictability” To The Game
Dynamic Encampments and Resource Hotspots add some randomness to the game.
Sandbox Interactive recently announced Albion Online’s next update. Titled ‘Horizons’ the update is slated to drop on October 28, bringing new activities and quality-of-life changes with it. The new content, intended to make the MMORPG’s open-world “more unpredictable and rewarding” includes Dynamic Encampments and Dynamic Resource Hotspots. The former are new mob camps, while the latter offer up resources. As the names indicate, these are new features that will appear in random areas at random times. Players won’t know when they’ll appear, so they’ll need to keep an eye out for them or go looking.
Also being introduced in Horizons are something called S.A.F.E. Portals, which will teleport solo adventurers into the deepest part of the Outlands. It will be dangerous, but the risks should be worth the rewards.
Horizons will also bring new quality-of-life changes. Included among these is a new HUD Editor offering players more control over their interface. Inventories, banks, and chests have all been improved as well, making them easier to find things in. New categories have been added to the Albion Journal, along with new goals and rewards.
