Albion Online Dev Update Offers A Peek At How The Open World Will Become More Appealing To Play In
The next update will try to do for the open world what the last update did for Roads of Avalon.
Another Albion Online Dev Update video is available to watch, with Game Director Robin Henkys discussing what’s to come after Paths of Glory. As the previous update made significant improvements to Roads of Avalon and increased the activity of both PvE and PvP content there, the Sandbox team now plans to address the MMORPG’s open world in the same way. The goals are to make it more appealing to solo players, offer more rewarding mid-sized group content, increase activity in the inner Outlands, and offer more challenging PvP. In essence, they want people to want to play.
The team has a sizeable list of things they will be doing to achieve these goals. These include adding new PvE objectives and mechanics, adjusting PvP rewards, rebalancing mobs, and more. The team is also working on more general improvements, such as updating the Albion journal and improving inventory management.
Of course, this is all stuff that’s in the works at the moment, so players will have to wait until the update gets closer to see what’s being done.
