Albion Online's Latest Dev Talk Video Walks Us Through The New "Journal" Coming Next Week
The game’s new mission and achievement system rewards players for exploring.
When Albion Online’s Paths to Glory Update launches on July 22, it will introduce a new exploration rewards system to the MMORPG. Highlighted in a Dev Talk video earlier today, the Journal is designed to guide new players while offering veteran players rewarding challenges. Basically, it’s the game’s mission and achievement system.
The Journal helps players track what they’re doing, keeping track of open and complete missions, which are sorted into categories like PvE, PvP, gathering, exploration, and economy – each with their own subcategories. The journal starts off with fairly easy missions, to ease players into things and include things like using a certain feature or going somewhere for the first time. As players progress they’ll be given more difficult tasks and better rewards.
