Shapeshifter Weapons Are Near: Albion Online Announces “Wild Blood” Update For October
The update will bring several new features to the game.
Today, Sandbox Interactive announced Albion Online’s next major update, “Wild Blood”. Slated to arrive sometime in October, the MMORPG's update will finally bring features that have been teased since early July. These include Shapeshifter Weapons, Tracking, and Awakened Items.
Shapeshifter Weapons are the game’s next major weapon line, consisting of staff weapons that expand the game’s ‘you are what you wear system’. They allow players to transform into different beings called Shapes.
Tracking is a system that tasks players with pursuing a target in the open world. It’s less of a PvP thing than just trying to get players out there and moving around. The hope is that it will result in more chance encounters among groups.
Finally, the Legendary Items offers players a chance to craft special items via a two-stage process. Players will need to work their way through Awakened Items to Legendary Items in order to complete the process.
