Aiming Is Overrated: New World Offers A Look At The Blunderbuss
Contain your enemies or fill them full of grapeshot.
For a game that's experienced as many issues as New World, perhaps it's not the best idea to introduce a weapon that has "blunder" in the title. Nevertheless, Amazon Games is surging forward with the Blunderbuss, and a new video posted today goes into detail about the kind of offense you can expect from the colonial-era sawed-off shotgun.
As with all New World weapons, the Blunderbuss features two styles of play. The first, Containment, focuses on crowd control and positioning, while the second, Chaos, offers widespread damage and destruction. Both styles are largely based around short- and mid-range combat, though each has options for engaging at longer ranges.
The Blunderbuss will be added to the game in the update that's on target for release before the end of the month. Learn more about New World's future plans in our look at its roadmap/dev update from last week.
