After A Successful Open Beta Amazon Drops A New World: Aeternum Pre-Order Trailer
The trailer highlights the Azoth stalker mount.
As noted in a recent editorial from Troy Blackburn, who took part in the New World: Aeternum beta, it was fairly successful. Of course, the MMORPG's test was limited, so players really only got a look at the updated new player experience and the endgame is still unknown. But what players got to experience was apparently fairly decent.
As it turns out, Amazon seems pleased with the results as well – pleased enough to share some of the data from the test anyway. That’s information such as the number of completed quests – nearly 10 and a half million, enemies killed in the open world and Amrine Excavation Expedition – 39.6 million and 987 thousand respectively, the most popular archetypes and weapons used, and how many players attempted the Sandwurm fight. If you’re curious that last number is 168 and apparently none of them survived.
The data wasn’t the only thing that Amazon shared today. As launch obviously draws closer they’d like to encourage pre-orders, so a new trailer is also available. This one highlights the new Azoth stalker mount that will be part of the pre-order package.
