After Delays And Hiccups, Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 7.2.1 Is Live
Galactic Season 4 and PvP Season 2 are a go.
Star Wars: The Old Republic update 7.2.1 is live, but not without some delays and hiccups along the way. Initially, the deployment of the patch was delayed for a short time, followed by an announcement that the maintenance window was being extended. Once the patch did to live, there have been issues for many players logging into the MMORPG since the update, and the mail system was taken down and patched due to an issue.
Game update 7.2.1 brings with it the beginning of Galactic Season 4 "A Passage of Peace". In this season, players are joined by Force user Amity as they progress through the Messengers of the Cold Moon reputation track to earn new rewards.
PvP Season 2 "Piercing the Veil" is also live with SWTOR update 7.2.1, with changes to how attacker and defender medals are earned. Similar to past seasons, player can earn PvP points to progress through the PvP track for new rewards.
Bringing the controversy this patch is the new credit economy initiative. It's an attempt to bleed credits out of the overly-inflated economy, but some players aren't happy with the increased costs of repairs and quick travel.
With all this comes a new 64-bit game client for all players, allowing the usage of more than 4GB of memory per process.
