After A Brief Approval Delay, F2P Multiplayer Shooter Strike Protocol Lets You Destroy Bases In Early Access
Manage bases and either defend yours or raid other bases, your choice.
Technically speaking, Strike Protocol started their shooter's early access last week, but the team was pretty quiet about it with just a post on X and a trailer drop. Today, the team is "officially" announcing the beginning the the F2P game's early access.
While the game is a "shooter" in some respects, think of it more as a base building/defending title that has shooter aspects in it, albeit from a more isometric camera view. Strike Protocol has two core gameplay modes; Infiltrator Mode and Commander Mode. If you're old like me and remember games like "The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot", you'll have a good idea of what's going on here.
In Commander mode, you spend your resources to build a base protected by traps, troops, and more. Hop into Infiltrator mode and pick a base to try and take over and run away with the spoils of war. In addition to customizing your character's loadout and base, cosmetics will be available to earn and buy in game.
Full launch is planned to be F2P, as well.
Strike Protocol is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store now after being briefly delayed due to approval issues. That said, Steam still has this listed as "single player" even though the game is multiplayer and noted as "learning about the game" (you're running through other players' bases, but you are technically doing it alone, so...).
As an extra note here, Strike Protocol does contain "some" art created by AI according to their disclosure on Steam.

Yes, there's plenty of placeholders still, but things are starting to take shape.
Yeah, I get the appeal, but seriously, just pay your community team.
Even as a casual Warframe player myself, I'd totally sit and watch a full series.
Honestly, monetization was the only way we could see Marvel Rivals not doing well, so let's dig in to the details.
